Latest news at the beginning of another year...

Disposals
Booths arrivals
977695, 72603 & 72640 from Throckmorton.
975476 from the Spa Valley Railway arrived during January.
All of the above were still present on 20th January 2007.

Tractor unit 9007 (931097) was scrapped at the Coventry Railway Centre during December.

Movements
The former Gatwick Express MLVs 68501 & 68508 (now De Icing units) arrived back at Tonbridge west yard just before Christmas after their refurbishment at Barrow Hill. They are now all over yellow but (unusually) with black cab ends.

Other news
975723 at Allelys yard is for sale.

975422 (Test Car 5) was reported to be in the process of being dismantled at Derby RTC during December.

975051, 975991, 977390, 977449, 977595 are all still present at the former diesel depot at Crewe. Noted at the beginning of January.

Gresley DE 320645 at York Leeman Road has been purchased by VSOE - but only for the underframe. Useful componants from the bodywork were stripped by members of the LNERCA at the beginning of January for use on other vehicles at the NYMR.

It has been reported that the items of rolling stock inside the former Pullman sheds at Preston Park, Brighton should be extracted during a possession at Easter. Departmental stock 975841 and 083632 are present inside although it is not certain yet where these two are heading.

Some items of departmental stock formerly owned by FMRail are now for sale through GVA Grimley:
977193 & 975460 at Barrow Hill
975490 at Tyseley
977335 at Meldon

Last but by certainly no means least - the long term mystery van 975670 has been found to be stored at a private location near Crowborough in East Sussex.
