Anyone know if this still survives please? VCT says "By 06/13 advertised as for disposal or failing that for scrapping. "Asbestos plan will be required"." No sightings on here since 2016.

Thanks John but I can't seem to get that link to work?

I had a comprehensive look at all NYMR locations last month and I'm pretty certain this wasn't seen.

Confirmed by NYMR as still with them in storage - probably at Grosmont yard as there were coaches there at the back I wasn't able to access last year.

I was told that this vehicle was one of the covered up vehicles on the siding near Levisham Station.

When I visited in May, there was only one sheeted coach in the aforementioned siding, this was E110. I didn't personally observe 44408 anywhere, but I didn't access any of Grosmont.

It's at Grosmont. It is sheeted and you can see it from the rail walk footpath that overlooks the depot. It has a roof section missing so the sheet has formed a pool full of water. That was the last time I saw it a couple of years ago.

I managed to get permission to walk around the top yard at Grosmont, and was told that the three covered up coaches were all Teak vehicles, but the young lad taking me round did not know the numbers. We were then approached by a NYMR chap who took umbrage that HE had not been asked, and got quite shirty, but despite the lad saying I had been given permission, he was adamant I should go, and not wanting to cause a problem, I made a donation to the NYMR at the shop and left.

Probably DE320931 and DE320427 will be two of the Teak carriages not sure about the third.
