This sandite unit is a converted two-car class 117 heritage DMU. The livery is an interesting one - BR green with chiltern stripe and branding.

960301 is now a three car unit, a middle vehicle has been added in October 2004 with large water tanks inside the vehicle to increases the water carrying capacity of the train.
